No Fate was kind enough to let us watch over his shoulder while he made some of his beautiful handstyle slaps. Here’s what he had to say about his work:
What is your name and/or alias(s)?
Where do you live?
How long have you been making stickers?
A few years.
What inspired you to first start producing stickers?
Just going to the city every day and seeing a lot of stickers and graffiti with really cool letters and drawings. I wanted to contribute to this huge movement.
What materials do you use?
I like stickers that are oddly shaped, like stars or circles.
What are some of your favorite places to put up slaps?
Just places on my way to work, somewhere that I can see it every day.
What is the longest one of your slaps has survived in the wild?
Maybe a year.
Have you ever had any run-ins with the law due to your stickering?
What other artists inspire you?
Monet, big time.
What are some of your favorite foods?
I love fish, so tuna, salmon, all kinds of sushi. And almost everything my wife makes.
What kind of music do you like?
EDM, Hip Hop, Psytrance
Favorite movies / TV shows?
I don’t watch a lot of TV but I did watch a few shows with feverish anticipation: Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones. I also try to catch The Simpsons or South Park when I can.
Some artists try to get as many ups as possible. Is stickering about quantity or quality for you?
Definitely quality. I take my time practicing my penmanship and throw out a bunch of stickers that don’t meet QC standards.
Do you collect and/or trade slaps with other artists?
When I get the opportunity, yes.
Do you have a message that you are trying to convey with your slaps?
Not really. I just want to alter my surroundings in a way that I think makes it more aesthetical.
Anything else that you want to add (anything at all):
What is the best way for people to follow your work?
Please don’t follow me. That’s just creepy.
