Florida, formerly NJ.
How long have you been making stickers?
What inspired you to first start producing stickers?
Living in NJ and working in NYC gave me my first exposure to sticker culture. Seeing people like ChrisRWK, Masivo, Katsu and Faust up everywhere really inspired me to start making my own.
Lots of black Sharpie. Pretty much any aerosol can, paint marker, mop I can get my hands on. I’m a firm believer that it doesn’t matter what materials you use (brand, pressure, caps etc) it’s all about how you use them. I can’t stand those snobs who can’t create without all pro gear and a climate controlled environment to work in.
Favorite place to put up slaps:
Stop signs. Most people ignore or avoid graffiti at all cost like its a plague. Stop sign tags force common people to view your art whether they like it or not. It shoves it down their throats, I like that.
Have you ever had any run-ins with the law due to stickering?
No. From what I’ve seen 99% of cops don’t give a shit about slaps or slap taggers, but I’ve had plenty of problems with them in the past while painting. You can walk around with slaps and wheat-paste all day and no one gives a fuck. But you walk out your house with a can in your hand and you might just get arrested on the spot. There’s a total political bias between street artist and writers and it’s total bullshit.
What other artists inspire you?
Omens, Faust, Hoacs, Jar, Chrisrwk, Revs/Cost, Deps, Adek, Bode, Dali, Giger, R.Stedman, Mike Mignola, Komar, Musa, Loser, Katsu
If you had to guess, how many stickers have you produced to date?
5-6+ thousand, a thousand of them printed the rest hand made.
Some artists try to get as many ups as possible. Is stickering about quantity or quality for you?
Both. You can’t have one and not the other and expect people to respect your work in the streets.
Do you collect and/or trade slaps with other artists?
Yes. I’m an avid collector.
Live free. Don’t obey.
What is the best way for people to follow your work?
