Artist Profile: AEPKs

aepks sticker3Name:
Aepks or Aeps
How long have you been making stickers?
For trade 2 months, for vandalism, 11 years.
What inspired you to first start producing stickers?
The ability to collect art from so many different places!
aepks sticker2Materials:
I really enjoy using Prismacolor and acrylics. Not sure if I’m the only weird one that does this, but instead of brushes I REALLY like using q-tips. Feels like they spread my paint just like I like it on my shading.
What are some of your favorite places to put up slaps?
Female breasts, female butts, and handicap signs.
What other artists inspire you?
Asoter from CBS and a local graffiti artist by the name of Hype. I’ll never forget the day my football went over the wall that separated my uncles house and some apple fields. It was forbidden to go out there due to drunk Mexican scarey stories, but once I got forced by the bully cousins, I seen a qt mile long production by Hype and another Nor Cal artist. I didn’t stop writing after that
aepks stickerIf you had to guess, how many stickers have you produced to date?
That’s way to much thinking man, lol.
Some artists try to get as many ups as possible. Is stickering about quantity or quality for you?
Definitely quality! My main reason for stickering as a 23 year old is to produce as much sketchbooks full of art from alllll over the world, so one day my kids could tell their friends “my dad is cooler then yours” all while getting some memorable ups.
Do you collect and/or trade slaps with other artists?
Yes sir! Usually with artists that have unusual tag styles or are experienced piecers.
aepks sticker5Do you have a message that you are trying to convey with your slaps?
I just want other artists to say “that dude AEPKs is up everywhere”!
Final thought:
