How long have you been making stickers on ukrainian dating sites?
August 2013
What inspired you to first start producing stickers?
I thought it was a creative way to advertise, but later on I realized it was more of an art form. Designing & creating stickers really caught my attention.
roman one stickerMaterials:
Adobe Photoshop all the way. Occasionally I draw out my characters or tags and photograph them and then upload them into Photoshop. For home printing of stickers I use a Brother 2240 laser printer with matte blank sticker paper. To get the gloss on them I use packaging tape! (more…)

Just always going to different places and seeing a wide variety of different styles slapped up!
What role would you say stickers play within the greater scope of art?
Huge Part. Getting UP is a huge part of the urban art game. Get up, get known, get respect!

How long have you been making stickers?
Since my freshman year 2009.
What inspired you to first start producing stickers?
I was in a restroom at Jack In The Box and someone had slapped a sticker saying “you for got your phone hu?” I replied the next day (literally) with a slap of a cell phone. I went back to check up on it and people were replying and having conversations, it was legit!
What role would you say stickers play within the greater scope of art?
To me it’s a signature, for fun as well, and it compliments a bunch of dull places. Stickers are random and get people thinking, “How did it get up there?”, “What does that character mean?”, and “I want one.” (more…)

What inspired you to first start producing stickers?
A friend of mine who knows I draw told me about the free slaps, and I took it upon myself to start ordering them and I never looked back!
What role would you say stickers play within the greater scope of art?
The beautiful thing about these stickers is that you can do absolutely anything with them, they’re a free medium in which a great mind can create. (more…)

The Corporate Theft Of Independent Art

I first came across the art of Eddie Colla when a good friend came back from Oakland with two awesome Occupy slaps in 2012. One was a trippy Guy Fawkes face with the caption ninetyninetoone – the second was an image of a lady with a bandana-covered face and a spray can in her hand with the caption if you want to achieve greatness stop asking for permission. I had no idea that the artist behind these designs was Eddie Colla until I came across this sickening article about some huge corporations that have stolen the work of independent designers and merchandised it via apparel, prints, and even stickers. As excited as I am to put  a name to these slaps, I’m pretty saddened by the rest of the story.

I really enjoy using Prismacolor and acrylics. Not sure if I’m the only weird one that does this, but instead of brushes I REALLY like using q-tips. Feels like they spread my paint just like I like it on my shading. (more…)
